GIVEAWAY!!
Our Stake has set some new goals for us this year which include building up our 3 month supply of food storage.
To help our Ward get some ideas on how to accomplish this goal, or even get started, we are hosting a Preparedness Fair
Saturday February 19th from 9 to1.
Save the date!!
This fair will offer 5 45 minute classes of which you will be able to attend 3. We will have a guest speaker and giveaways within each class you will be able to qualify for. We will also be serving a light lunch.
Our current giveaway consists of a 3 month supply starter bag. To qualify for this giveaway you must complete this survey and leave a comment on this posting. Your opinions and thoughts mean so much to us as we look out to the year in front of us. Let us know how we can best serve you! The winner of this awesome giveaway will be chosen at random from the comments section of this post on Sunday January 23rd.
Thank you in advance!!
Long-Term Food Storage for December
Here is our suggested list for items to be collected this month to add to your long-term food storage. Remember, these items are suggested per person.
toothbrush
toilet paper and individually packaged handiwipes
batteries and flashlight
waterproof matches and candles
Due to the nature of our Stake's goals for 2011, we will be canceling further Project Noah updates. A full list of suggested long-term food storage items will be available on this blog in the near future. (I'm trying to make a printable version of the entire year.) Keep in mind that even the smallest effort will bring us blessings. You have to build your long-term storage one item at a time and our Father in Heaven is mindful of our efforts and sacrifices.

Increasing Prices
I have recently heard that prices will be increasing at the Cannery for the 2011 year. Some items will go up by as much as 50%!
I encourage you to get out to the Cannery before the year is up. Items already canned can be purchased right off the shelf. Of course bulk items are available too, but I would encourage you to only purchase items this way if you use them in frequent rotation.
I know there are so many things to do this time of year. I can not adequately express to you the sense of urgency I feel on the matter of food storage. Make it a priority and you will be blessed!
